RenderCalc Registration Information
Author: Daniel S. Milling Jr.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
RenderCalc is a Shareware program. If you find that you use this program
please send the Shareware registration fee of $15 (US dollars) to the
address listed at the bottom of the Registration.form file.
What do you get when you register?
----------------------------------
When you register your copy of RenderCalc you will receive a personalized
keyfile. This keyfile will remove all of the Shareware Notices which
appear whenever you start or exit the program, as well as when you click
on the zoom gadget. These notices will NEVER appear again as long as the
keyfile is not removed or tampered with.
Another benefit of registering is that I will take into account the
requests of registered users if/when I revise the program. If you're not
a registered user, you can still send in a request for an addition or
change, but I won't be as quick to implement those requests. I will give
more consideration to the requests of the registered users.
What the heck is a keyfile?
---------------------------
A keyfile, literally, 'unlocks' a program. In this case, the keyfile will
remove all of the Shareware Notices which appear.
Installation of this keyfile needs to be done only once. You will receive
complete and concise instructions about what to do with the keyfile upon
registration.
The keyfile encryption system is, as it stands, quite solid. If, however,
I decide to change the encryption scheme, all registered users will
recieve updated keyfiles, which reflect these changes, as soon as possible.
The whole purpose of the keyfile system was to remove the burden and
hassle of mailing disks, which is more expensive and slow. If you have an
Internet email account I can send the keyfile, which is just a set of
numbers, and instructions through Email. Otherwise I can send it over
regular postal mail. With every update, you won't have to wait for a disk
to arrive (which would be an additional cost above the shareware fee.) Every
time a new version of the program comes out, your keyfile will work with
the 'regular' Unregistered version. In effect your keyfile will Register
or 'unlock' the current and all future versions of the program automatically.
If anything is disabled in future versions of the program, your keyfile will
enable them, allowing you to use the program to it's full extent.
Your keyfile will be personalized. This means that in addition to
unlocking the RenderCalc program, your name will be encrypted into the
keyfile as well. This is why it is important, when you register, to
include your full name.
How the heck to I register?
---------------------------
It couldn't be easier. There is a file called 'Registration.form' which is
a template you may print out. When you print out the form, just neatly print
(so I can read it :-) ) the requested information. Your full name and address
are mandatory. The rest of the information is optional, although, I would
like to hear your comments.
After you fill out the registration form, enclose a check or money order
for $15 (US dollars) to Daniel S. Milling Jr. at the address listed at the
bottom of the registration form. (If you are overseas, please add $1 to cover
postage if you don't have an internet account.)
It will probably take about 2 weeks or less for you to get your keyfile
through the US mail (not sure about foreign.) If you have an Internet
account which can receive Email, PLEASE include this on the registration
form. If you include an Internet Email address I will send all of the
necessary information via Email. You will get the information MUCH faster
than by regular mail (especially foreign folks.) Via Email, I can send it
within a day or two of my receiving your form and payment (you should get the
info within one week or less from the time you mailed it.)
How do I reach the Author?
--------------------------
You can either send EMAIL to:
MILLING@STUDSYS.MSCS.MU.EDU or
dan@chaos.mcs.mu.edu
You may also reach me via my postal address, listed on the registration
form.
Anything else?
--------------
Please remember, every time you look at that wonderful Shareware Notice, that
a lot of hard work went into the creation of this program.
Thank You!
